A higher percentage of primary care doctors attend Alabama medical schools, compared to specialists, and a higher percentage of rural physicians attend Alabama medical schools compared to urban physicians. The percentage of foreign medical graduates is slightly higher for primary care physicians compared to specialists, but the differences are slight for rural versus urban physicians.
