Communities are typed by the US Census Bureau as city, town, place, or unincorporated. Population is usually not available for an unincorporated community. Communities are also classified as rural or belonging to a metropolitan statistical area (MSA). Finally, each community is assigned to one of Alabama's counties and to one of our primary care service areas (PCSA).
