• The name of the county
• The county seat
• The type of the county as classified by the Alabama Rural Health Association, either rural or urban
• The core base statistical area (CBSA) that the county belongs to, as defined by the US Census Bureau. A county that is not in a CBSA is classified as rural in this field.
• The area of the county in square miles.
• The population of the county.
• The number of households in the county.
• The number of communities in the county that have pharmacies.
• The number of pharmacies in the county.
• The ratio of the number of pharmacies per 10,000 population.

CBSA Table

Nearly 70% of all pharmacies are in metropolitan CBSA counties. Less than 10% of the pharmacies are in counties that are not in a CBSA.
